English: First Term

1st Week:

We started the first week of the English class talking about the contents of the different term and Pilar, our teacher, gave us some copies of a science text that talked about the origins of the universe. We also made a discussion about different points of view that people have about the creation fo the universe, in my case I defended the Big Bang Theory and the Evolutionism and I think I did pretty well. Finally we made a listening exercise which ihas not been corrected yet.

2nd Week:

In the second week we started making the correction of the listening we made last week and It was practically perfect! We also started with connectors and we dealt with 2 types of it: Purpose connectors and contrast connectors. In the end of the week Pilar let us know that we were starting to practise with the excersice found in the moodle.

3rd Week:

We started practising everything that we learned in the two last weeks and we also learned also about the last content that the exam will include: Relative Pronouns. Unfortunately, Pilar missed the last class of the week. However I still worked in class and I completed some exercises.

4th Week:

We did the first exam and it was quite easy, as I expected. The hardest part of it was the text we had to write. However, I think I will get a really high mark.

5th, 6th and 7th Week:

During these weeks we have mainly focused on Vocabulary and Passsive Sentences. I have worked most of these contents before in the language school so I didn't find any problem understanding them.

8th Week:

During this week we did the second English exam and I think I did it so well. I hope that the next one is harder but shorter, because this one took me so long to finish it.

9th, 10th, 11th Week:

Again, we worked Vocabulary related to some scientifics texts we read. Then, we also worked on Verb tenses so we had to practice in which phrases we should use one or another, for example, choose between Past Simple and Past Continuous. I found this hard so I worked a lot at home practising with online exercises until I understood it.

12th Week:

We did the final exam of the term and it was too easy and short. I was extremely lucky because the only Time Tenses that I didn't understand wasn't an exercise in the exam. We also did the writing which was a little bit hard but not that much.
